Jin Shi Tan Kyoto Style Street – Little Kyoto Project Groundbreaking Ceremony
In the morning of a very hot summer day, July 28, 2019, a big groundbreaking ceremony was held to pray to the good fortune of the Kyoto Style Street-Little Kyoto Project at the construction site in Dalia, China. On this ceremony, Mr. Zhang Zhong Ze, Managing Director, Directors, Ms. Zang Yang, Ms. Sun Xia, Ms. Li Qingyu and Mr. Han Yi were present from Shu Yuan Group. From Japan, Mr. Ken Ishihara, Senior Director and Satoshi Watanabe, Director from JARC (Japan Accommodation Related Consortium) were present. From JCAP7, Mr. Kose, President of JPM and Mr. Sai Chosho, Director of JPM, Mr. Yuichi Itakura, Senior Director of Ishii Architect Office, Mr. Kazuhiko Fujinami, General Manager of Takano Landscape Planning were present.
Ms. Chang You, Director of Shun Yuan Group, made the following speech in the ceremony; “To begin with, I express my heartfelt appreciation and thanks to your attendance to this ceremony. Today is a very special and historical day for our Shenyang Group. This Jin Shi Tan Kyoto Style Street-Little Kyoto Project will be one of the major projects in Dalian under the guidance of the government and the good cooperation between China and Japan. People can feel Japanese cultures while they are staying in China. Therefore, we commit to produce a high-grade streetscape by the cooperation of Chinese and Japanese architects and engineers with the spirit of the high craftsperson. "At the end, gun salutes were fired to celebrate the ceremony.
Under such peaceful atmosphere, the groundbreaking ceremony was taken place by scooping soil with gold shovels. This way, a new page of the history was open and Jin Shi Tan Kyoto Style Street-Little Kyoto Project commenced."

- Historical Model: Kyoto Ninenzaka(This means Year Two Slope), as it was constructed in Japanese Tatong year 2, 807AD
- Little Kyoto is the mixture of Japanese and Chinese Tan Dynasty cultures and will produce only one Japanese style commercial street in China. The Omoteya housing style of Kyoto is adopted.
on the design where the residents can practice the commercial activities, mostly small shops like Kyoto.
The groundbreaking ceremony dictates the official commencement of the project and the phase 1 will be completed in the year 2020. Once the phase 1 will be open, a new and unique resort place will be born in terms of its features and characteristics as an effort of China-Japan cooperation among the private sectors.
